Empowering Youth to be Impact Makers for the Community

Established by Japanese-French educator Cesar Jung-Harada in 2017, MakerBay Foundation is a creative space and educational platform dedicated to helping youth make an impact through developing their maker skills and mindset.

Our coworking makerspace is equipped with tools and machinery for woodworking, metalworking, sewing, laser cutting, 3D printing and electronics, supporting everyone to create their designs and products. Through collaborating with youth, social workers, educators and professionals from different industries to deliver programmes and training, we are committed to promoting Maker Education, Impact Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Eventually, local innovation can be transformed to a global movement with a long-lasting impact.

Our Works

Train maker skills and mindsets

Through hands-on maker skill training with the design thinking mindset, we empower youth to create products of their imagination.

The train-the-trainer programme supports educators and social workers on different domain knowledge and soft skills to unleash youth’s potential.

We supports schools and organisations in setting up their makerspace and equipment needed to teach STEAM and maker topics.

Actualise idea to real product or service

Entrepreneurship

Working with different partners and stores in the districts, we engage public for idea exchange and project implementation to make an impact.

With the expertise, tools and machinery, we support students for their projects & competitions from idea generation to developing the prototype to suit the users’ needs.

Sustain the idea as a venture

Entrepreneurship

With our expertise in different maker skills, we support and advise entrepreneurs to create and test the ideas before investing in full-scale development.

Our mentors guide entrepreneurs to overcome challenges, develop skills, and achieve desired outcomes in various contexts.

Assist in funding application, networking, and training to help you launch and grow your venture.

Community & Space
