About this programme
Funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Jockey Club AI Community Innovation Programme is a 2.5-year hands-on education programme (From Oct 2021 – Mar 2024), bringing together participants from schools, communities, and the industry to learn, play and solve real-world problems with artificial intelligence (AI). We will offer a variety of activities, including workshops, seminars and competitions, with the aim of:

Who is this programme for?
8-18yo YOUTH
Receive guidance from experienced mentors who help you to generate solutions, optimise your designs and turn your ideas into reality
Learn about AI technologies and tools with a step by step approach. It is easier than you think!
Meet people from all over the world and learn about outstanding innovative projects through the annual international Technovation Girls competition
You will have a chance to design your project based on real-world problems and create genuine impact on society and the environment with the support of cutting-edge technologies.
Schools & NGOs
Teaching materials developed based on the recognised curriculum by Technovation; diverse content covered in the workshops localised for Hong Kong youth, including AI hardware, mobile app development, problem-solving and design-thinking skills.
Flexible workshop arrangements to fit your students/beneficiaries availability, to be held at our space or your premises.
Professionals
Help youth set and achieve goals, act as a sounding board for solutions to tricky problems, and crucially, help them develop their confidence and self-esteem.

You don’t need any prior knowledge and skills, as you will get all the support you need and become a capable AI mentor, step-by-step, through our capacity building workshops. Anyone passionate about learning AI-technologies or developing AI-related expertise can also join.
International Partners
Technovation is a global technology education nonprofit, empowering underserved groups to tackle problems in their communities with cutting-edge technologies, such as AI and coding. Over the years, it has supported more than 130,000 youths, 28,000 mentors and parents across 100+ countries. Since 2018, Technovation has been running the world’s largest AI-education competition, with 18 countries involved and engaging around 10,000 under-resourced 3rd to 8th grade students and their parents in a 10-week programme.

Founded in 2016 by IIT Kanpur Alumni, STEMpedia is a globally renowned experiential learning platform, strives towards enabling educational institutions to create an ecosystem to foster learning, creativity, and innovation in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Robotics. It helps kids aged 7 and above to understand complex industry-standard AI and robotics concepts in an easy and playful manner through exciting real world application-based DIY projects.

- Youth aged between 8-18 (priority will be given to recipients of the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme or the School Textbook Assistance (TA) Scheme) and their parents
