Mr. Poon was seconded to EDB to provide support to over 80 local schools on catering for learner diversity and building inclusive ethos and measures. He is invited to be the Speakers in various tertiary education programs and teacher training courses to share experience on supporting students with diverse needs. He is also an author of various book chapters and journals as well as presenter at local and international conferences on how to enhance school’s capacity to cater for student diversity. He is the Project Lead of Jockey Club “Diversity at Schools” Project (2018-2024), which aims to enhance primary and secondary schools’ capacity to cater for learner diversity.
MR. Kevin Pereira

Kevin Pereira is currently the Managing Director for Blu Artificial Intelligence, a consulting firm that specializes in Artificial Intelligence (AI), based in Hong Kong. Kevin has worked on consulting projects and is a major contributor to BLU’s knowledge base of AI applications in various industries. He is passionate about AI’s impact on society, including skillsets and job markets for the future, and also the ethical considerations involved with AI.
To this end, he has collaborated on articles and podcasts, and also spoken at numerous events and panels which have focused on the aforementioned topics. In addition, he has also delivered numerous AI workshops to members of innovation and strategy teams from a myriad of industries in multiple locations around the world.
He is also a part-time lecturer at HKU (University of Hong Kong) and HKUST (The HK University of Science and Technology) along with a number of other schools both in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pac region. His courses focus on Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and their applications in business.

Esterina Nervino is currently Assistant Professor at City University of Hong Kong holding a joint appointment at the Department of English and the Department of Marketing. She is also Junior Adjunct Professor of Intercultural Communication and Language Variation at the Universita’ degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia (Italy) and invited External Member of the Research Centre for Professional Communication in English at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and her research interests include social semiotics, multimodality, business communication, luxury studies in relation to art, space, sustainability, and retail experience.
Prior to CityU, Esterina was the Director of Retail in Asia (part of Bluebell Group) in charge of media brand operations including content selection, curation, edition, and commercial strategy. I have published 10 peer-reviewed papers on educational technology and teaching innovation. I led some institutional-wide surveys on the universities and was a principal investigator in some educational projects in higher education and pre-school education.
I am also a professional statistician from Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and the United States. I have solid academic training in mathematics, statistics, research methods, psychology, and information technology.
Ms. Lena Wong
An impact maker, an entrepreneur, an advocate and a mother, I have a strong calling to push forward Motherhood & Entrepreneurship. I believe there should be no boundary to how works should be done. I was a finance professional who left behind her decent livings and devoted herself to the family when her first daughter was born. Eventually landed myself in my own consultancy firm and also dedicated myself in founding Hong Kong Momtrepreneurs – a non profit organization in Hong Kong supporting moms and families in their entrepreneurial journey. I also appreciate the impacts from social innovations and further pursues my works in promoting UNSDGs.
In my leisure time, I enjoy sipping a glass of wine or coffee with friends and I also contribute as Advisor and Trainer at Junior Chamber International and as Programme Chair in HK Association of Business and Professional Women.
Ms. Marianne N. Michaels

MR. Nicholas Ooi

Nicholas OOI (Nick) is currently the Programme Manager of the Lingnan Entrepreneurship Initiative (LEI) which promotes the concept of Social Innovation and cultivates innovation culture and entrepreneurial spirit in a liberal arts context at Lingnan University. Nick is experienced in conducting Design Thinking workshops for students and he has conducted more than 80 workshops with accumulations of a total of more than 600 training hours. After joined the Teaching and Learning Studio at Stanford d.School and Participatory Design Training from MIT D-Lab, he begins to design different artefacts to improve students learning from different design methods. Nick is currently one of the Faculty Innovation Fellows by the University Innovation Fellows Programme at Stanford d.School.

Studied in Germany, lived and traveled to most parts of the world with over 10 years of experience in information technology specialized in Banking, Retail and global conglomerates business development. Nikita speaks 4 languages and excels at global senior relationship building, managing cultural diverse teams and most complex projects at enterprise level.

MR. Perkins Ho
Senior Strategic Program BD Manager
Perkins is currently Senior Business Development Manager of Hong Kong/ Taiwan Strategic Programs of AWS in Hong Kong. He is responsible for driving the Joint Innovation Centre initiative in Hong Kong to provide a total solution for the government to implement innovation strategies – startup incubation, industry digital transformation, talent development, education and international programs.
Prior to joining AWS, he was Head of Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation in the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He spearheaded efforts in building the ecosystem, identifying and preparing technologies with potential for commercialisation, incubating technology and social start-ups founded by students and professors, developing programmes to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship from within the University, and developing partnerships with stakeholders including governments, incubators and corporates in Greater China and other parts of the globe.

Ms. Serena Lee
Founder & CEO
Serena is involved in research and clinical work as a psychology and counselling graduate from The University of Hong Kong. On top of her role, her passion for social innovation and human-centric design led her to found Care Bear, a depression-centric social enterprise that incorporates technology and the human touch in early detection and gamifying symptom alleviation, with the ideology of fostering resilience and mutual accountability and empowerment among youth. Her work in psychology has brought her onto the global stage as a presenter at the APA Convention 2020, and opened doors to collaborative community projects in Kenya, Malaysia and Sweden. Involved in mental health initiatives including Coolminds (Mind HK), HKJSSP, Psycboost, International Association for Youth Mental Health etc., she hopes to facilitate conversations about mental health and voice up for the stigmatized, and provide insight for budding social entrepreneurs to acclimate and adapt to trends and needs, and adopt a creative mindset in developing innovative solutions for good.
Mr. Victor Wong
Victor is passionate about education. He strongly believes that children with learning challenges can discover their true potential if schools provide the right environment and remain relentlessly focused on providing high quality of teaching. He founded Bridge Academy in 2014, a school providing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services for children with learning difficulties aged 2 and above. More than 500 special education needs (SEN) children has received ABA services since 2014.
Victor has also found Bridge AI, a company using Artificial intelligence (AI), big data and video and audio communication systems to support e-learning of SEN children. He is now collaborating with Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research.
Institute (ASTRI) in a project funded by the Hong Kong Innovative and Technology Bureau (ITB) to develop the Integrated Intelligent Intervention-learning system (3i-learning system) that tailors the individual needs so students with SEN.
Victor is a Doctor of Education student at The Education University of Hong Kong and holds a master’s degree in accounting from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a speaker at IEEE conferences about next generation technologies for people with cognitive and learning disabilities.
