Transforming Education Through Innovation - MTR ‘Train’ for life’s journey

MTR ‘Train’ for Life’s Journey Programme ( ‘Train’出光輝每一程 2.0 ) had presented a comprehensive approach to developing future-ready skills through e-learning and experiential activities. We have created a custom Learning Management System delivering 8 lessons in Design Thinking and Financial Literacy.

Aside from e-courses, we have organized innovation bootcamp, study tours, mentorship sessions, and finals where students showcase their innovative solutions to real-world problems. This blend of theoretical learning and practical application has created a powerful educational ecosystem where students thrive.

We have observed remarkable qualitative transformations in our participants throughout the Journey. Students who once hesitated to speak up now confidently present their ideas to industry professionals. Students who create a comprehensive and feasible solution from scratch in within 1 month. They’ve developed enhanced empathy, entrepreneurial mindsets, and the ability to apply design thinking methodologies to complex social challenges. These skills transfer beyond the classroom, with participants initiating independent projects and becoming social innovator in their communities.

「‘Train’出光輝每一程 2.0 」社會創新挑戰賽

As a Programme Manager, what makes this program particularly meaningful is witnessing the great improvement of our students. The programme bridges gaps in traditional education, preparing young people not just for exams, but for life.

I am looking forward to witness the long-term impact of Train for Life’s Journeys 2.0. We are not simply running a programme; we are creating a model that demonstrates how education can effectively nurture future-ready skills.
