Talk: Emi Watanabe. April 3rd 2017

In this exciting talk, Emi Watanabe will talk about her work as a nomadic designer, digital and monumental installation artist, satellite manufacturing and how she sent her work in outer space and more. This will be an intimate presentation at MakerBay Central in PMQ. After you get to know her work, you will be able to ask questions directly to Emi and hear about her latest project in the Canadian countryside. 

Bio: Emi Watanabe is an industrial designer, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art in San Francisco. She has worked on large metal installation art pieces for Burning Man for the past five years that span several themes, mechanical, fire, and illumination. She recently quit her job building small satellites to become a nomadic designer, mostly based in BC, Canada. Emi likes to build things in all mediums, fix mechanical things, and blow bubbles.
