The Open Source Village aims to empower citizens, reduce environmental impact, and improve standards of living in an increasingly urbanizing world.

We’re building our first village in Anhui Province, China, and work with villagers on the ground and makers around the world to leverage open source, green technologies, and the maker movement to make the world a better place.

Bio: I’m Alex Cureton-Griffiths, and I’m a maker on the move, bouncing around the planet building projects and helping other people work on theirs. I work with governments, industry, academia, and non-profits to make the planet a hopefully better, definitely more makery place.
