MakerBay Central Launch!

PMQ Launch v2

We are excited to announce the launch of MakerBay Central – our new makerspace at the design hub PMQ in Central!!

MakerBay is interested in how technology can be used creatively to improve society and the environment. MakerBay is the home of a diverse range of disciplines from arts to science, from design to engineering, from beginner to expert, startups to established corporations.

Similar to MakerBay Yau Tong, MakerBay Central will be equipped with both traditional tools to work with wood, metal and textiles and advanced technologies such as laser cutting, CNC milling, 3D design and printing. There will also be tools for electronics prototyping for IOT, wearables and robotics.

MakerBay Central will support the dynamic work of the PMQ community with an onsite makerspace. Both children and adults will have the opportunity to develop new skillsets and mindsets through workshops and events. Creatives will find the tools, space and community to rapidly turn their ideas into tangible reality.

You are cordially invited to celebrate this big day with us. We will have a short panel discussion on “What is the future of making in Hong Kong?” and many interactive demos.
