Incredible washable paper bag made by youths

What material will you use to make a bag? Fabrics? Or have you thought of using paper to make your own backpack?

This July, a group of youths and social workers came up with an idea to make bags with an interesting material, the “washable paper” (水洗牛皮紙）

Now, let’s see how they make their own backpacks using washable paper!

First, start with drawing their own design.

Discuss time: try to make all the design out. 

Measure and cut the material out.

Learning basic sewing skill.

Do the decorations before sewing. The boys look really love those brands.

Sewing.

Flip the bag inside out, but you need to make the paper soft first! Please don’t afraid the bag will break. Make it soft like the video below 🡓

Last but not least, insert eyelets and buttons. Then thread string through eyelets.

And DONE!
