When planning social initiatives, we may not always systematically evaluate the impact of the projects. However, by integrating the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) frameworks into your projects, your organisation can more effectively communicate outcomes and impact to funders, employees, and the public.
Recently, we conducted an “ESG, SDGs, and Future Skills Workshop” for Hong Kong Christian Service. Through interactive exercises, we facilitated participants to gain a deeper understanding of these concepts and how to apply them in their works. This included aligning their projects with relevant SDGs, exploring how to incorporate ESG principles into project planning, identifying project stakeholders, and setting corresponding goals.
This people-centric mindset isn’t just useful for the social sector; entrepreneurs can also benefit from it when seeking investment. This strategy not only increases the chances of success but also naturally aligns your projects with the global direction of sustainable development.
