  About this Programme  

Supported by DBS Foundation, the DBS InnoFuture Youth Programme is a 1.5 years programme that aims at
providing comprehensive upskill training on AI and No-code to improve digital literacy and
competitiveness for the underserved youth of 15 – 24 years old. Through nurturing youth talents in building
their no-code projects, it is expected to empower the digital transformation of the social sector.

  FAQs  

Our service targets include underserved youth of age 15 – 24. Underserved groups include students receiving government assistance, ethnic minorities, youth with disabilities, youth with special education needs (SEN), and participants referred by NGOs, schools or others.

We do not charge any fees. The devices and software used in the face-to-face courses will be free for students to use.

Our online courses are also available to the general public.

The curriculum of this programme is designed from easy to difficult, therefore, only basic computer knowledge is required.

Activities will be held in MakerBay, partner organisations and schools.

The face-to-face courses will be held irregularly, please subscribe our Newsletter for updates.

You can register by filling out the Individual Registration Form, or by the method provided by our partner organisations/schools.

e-Certificate will be issued upon completion of each face-to-face course and upon completion of all online courses.

I am graduated from HKUST computer science and experienced in stem education industry for more than 5 years.Being a stem tutor in Sino group – Olympian City, I taught student STEM knowledge, programming logic, science and robot design, including microbit, Arduino, laser cut ,3D printing ,lego EV3.

Currently, I am working as a programmer in Shoalter Technology to develop market-leading online shopping platform in Hong Kong – HKTVmall including web and mobile app development.

Alexander Ying is the Founder & CEO of DRESIO, an AI company dedicated to merging camera-based edge AI and exercise science to detect exercise skill levels and prevent injury. In less than a year from inception, Alex has led the company to acquire the IT & Smart Tech Award for the One Million Dollar Startup Competition from Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, and become one of the winners of the IPHatch Startup Competition 2019/20.

Alex’s background is in big data analytics and has a passion for AI. Prior to DRESIO, Alex co-founded Jumping Price Limited, pioneering in applying big data and machine learning into eCommerce retailing. He also has years of experience managing multi-million retail businesses for Cartier in Hong Kong & Macau, and as a renowned analytic & strategy consultant for international brands such as Coca-Cola, Abbott Laboratories, and Wrigley.

Ms. Bauhinia Lee

Founder & Impact Venture Builder

Anima Ventures

Bauhinia is an Impact Venture Builder and the Founder of Anima Ventures, a female-focused Venture Studio based in Hong Kong, with a mission to actively support female startup founders and bridge the funding gap in the ecosystem. She believes in building businesses with ‘purpose’, and advocates passionately for youth, diversity and inclusion, including gender and cognitive diversity.

As a multi-hatter “spinning multiple plates”, Bauhinia is the Co-Lead of the Hong Kong branch of SoGal Foundation, a global platform for diverse entrepreneurs and investors with 50 chapters across 6 continents. She is often a collaborator, moderator, and co-host of workshops, panels and seminars in support of women across Finance, startups and venture. She is most excited about synthesising ideas and innovation across different verticals and in Web 3.0.

Bauhinia started her career in Finance, trading FX and STIR at Credit Suisse in London and Zurich. She enjoys reading, philosophy, horse-riding and speaks six languages, including French, German and Spanish.

Ms. Angie Zhou

Education Specialist

Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Angie Zhou is an Education Specialist at MIT App Inventor. She was the founder and CEO of Dreams Come True in Shenzhen, where she developed online coding courses for kids. She also has previous curriculum development, teaching and staff training experience at First Code Academy in Hong Kong.
