Citizen Science Program for Teens

Community Need

The iResearch project aims to bridge the educational gap for underprivileged students through a comprehensive STEM programme incorporating citizen science. The six-month programme connects students with professional researchers and includes workshops on scientific inquiry, encouraging participation in multidisciplinary research projects.

During the six-month experiential learning course, students can participate in a series of workshops, field trips, and research experiments led by university scholars, and have the opportunity to receive various benefits, such as experimental reports and build a personal academic network.

A citizen science platform will also be set up to provide the latest research information and resources, support independent research, and foster a community-driven approach to scientific discovery in Hong Kong.
