Learn AI this Summer: AI x Cultural Exchange Summer Programme (12-13 Aug)

In this summer, MakerBay partnered with Nexperium, a science museum in Korea, to provide an exciting learning opportunity for students aged 10 – 12 to learn artificial intelligence and exchange ideas with Korean students! They will meet  Korean students virtually to create a mobile app that supports Chinese/English and Korean in the two-day workshop. It will be a unique experience to learn Korean culture while practicing their communication skills.

Target: Students aged 10 – 12 and can communicate in English

PROGRAMME FLOW

August 12 (Day 1): Learning Artificial Intelligence (2 sessions)
Participants will learn the fundamentals of AI and try to design and develop mobile applications programmed with AI.

  • 10:00 – 13:00 | Artificial Intelligence Basics
  • 14:00 – 17:00 |  Mobile app
August 13 Day 2: Creating and Sharing (2 sessions)

Participants will work with a group of Korean students and apply knowledge to design a bilingual app that showcases different aspects of people’s lives in both places, from food, travel, pop culture to community.

  • 10:00 – 13:00 | Field interview
  • 14:00 – 17:00 | Design and presentation
