Established in 2015 by Cesar Jung-Harada — a Japanese-French educator, environmentalist, and entrepreneur, MakerBay is a non-profit innovation group aiming at achieving positive social and environmental impact through maker education and entrepreneurship. We nurture Hong Kong youth to develop maker skills and mindset, as well as forming an inclusive maker community.
MakerBay provides education in both online and in-person modes, membership for individuals and companies, as well as consultation for organisations, schools and corporations.
Apart from the Headquarters and the branch at Tsuen Wan and Central respectively, MakerBay has also partnered with 6 youth centers located in various districts to have makerspaces there to better support the local community.
MakerBay is convinced that everybody can learn to make something. Local innovation can create a global impact!
